Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet any one of the following educational qualifications to apply for the Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) Job Trainee posts under Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog:

• Candidates should have 10+2 / Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks from a recognized Board along with a 2-year Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) Course or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from an institute affiliated with the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE).

• Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 2-year Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) (by whatever name known).

• Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks along with 2-year JBT / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) as per the regulations of the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) Recognition Norms and Procedure Regulations, 2002.

• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

• Graduation with 2-year JBT / Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) from a recognized institution.

• Post-Graduation with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade along with 3-year Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed..

In addition to the above qualifications, candidates must have qualified the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala (District Kangra) or any other agency authorized by the Government.

Important Dates

Selection Process 

The selection of candidates for the Junior Basic Teacher (JBT) Recruitment 2026 will be carried out through a Computer Based Test (CBT) or Written Screening Test conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog.

The examination will be of 120 marks with a duration of 1½ hours (90 minutes). However, the final mode of examination and selection procedure will be decided by the commission as per the official recruitment guidelines.
