Eligibility Criteria (HP Staff Nurse 2025)

Educational Qualification:

B.Sc. Nursing with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized University/Institution

OR

GNM / A-Grade Nursing Diploma with 50% marks from a recognized Nursing College/Institution.

Gender Requirement:

Only Female Candidates are eligible to apply.

Domicile Requirement:

Candidate must be a Bonafide Himachali.

Registration:

Applicant must be registered with the Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Council (HPNRC), Shimla-06.

Desirable Qualifications:

Candidates having relevant work experience related to the Essential Qualification(s) will be given preference.

All qualifications and experience must be valid as on the closing date of the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), i.e., 16 January 2026.

Age Relaxation

Applicable age relaxation will be calculated as on 01-01-2025, as per government rules and recruitment guidelines.

A correction window will remain open for 7 days, starting three working days after the closing date of the Online Recruitment Application (ORA).

Any corrections or modifications during this period will be allowed only after payment of the required fee.

Correction Fee

 ₹100.00 correction fee will be charged for making changes in the application form.

Salary / Stipend

Fixed Monthly Honorarium

Selected candidates will receive a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹25,000/-.

Engagement Period

The appointment will be for a 5-year period, strictly on an engagement basis.

Important Note

Candidates are advised that if they are selected and later the regular cadre posts are advertised, their engagement will be governed according to the official guidelines/policy issued by the Government of Himachal Pradesh.

These guidelines are notified under Notification No. Health-A04/ES/2025-Health-B-301504 dated 06.11.2025, attached as Annexure “A”.

Selection Process (HP Staff Nurse Recruitment 2025)

Mode of Selection

• The selection will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT) or Written Screening Test of 120 marks.
• Duration of Exam: 1½ hours (90 minutes)
• The final mode (CBT/OMR) will be decided by the Aayog.

Examination Pattern

• The screening test will consist of 120 Objective Type Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Each question carries 1 mark.

• Level: Up to the prescribed essential qualification mentioned in the notification
• Total: 85 Questions

General Knowledge

• Includes General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh and Current Affairs
• Total: 10 Questions

Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi (Matric Level)

• Total: 25 Questions

Normalization Method

• For CBT examinations, candidate scores will be normalised using the Z-Score Method (Mean and Standard Deviation Method) for preparing the final merit list.

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• General Category (GEN-UR): 45%
• SC/ST/OBC: 40%
• General Category candidates applying for posts reserved for SC or other reserved categories:
• Up to 5% relaxation (i.e., 40% for General and 35% for SC/ST/OBC candidates)

Waiting Panel

• After declaration of final results, a category-wise waiting list (panel) will be prepared.
• Candidates in this list will have no automatic right to appointment.
• They may be considered only if a recommended candidate does not join and the panel is still valid for the respective category.
